After 2 previous careers, one in scientific research as a lab technician and then in the IT industry as a Senior Manager for the TAFE and then the ABC, Linda left the corporate world to study Herbal Medicine at NatureCare. She graduated with a  bachelor of Natural Therapies from SCU in 2003.
